Cybernetics ("we", "our", "the platform") is an AI agent platform that helps you research, write, code, and organize. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. By using our platform you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Collect

Google or GitHub account information (name, email, profile picture) collected at sign-in via OAuth 2.0
Session tokens used to authenticate your requests — stored locally on your device
Your conversations and task history with the AI agent, associated with your account
IP address and basic request metadata for rate limiting and security
Agent task history and automation logs generated during platform use

3. How We Use Your Data

To authenticate your identity and maintain your session
To provide AI agent features across research, writing, code, and file capabilities
To store and retrieve your conversation and task history
To enforce rate limits and protect against abuse
To improve platform performance and reliability

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. AI Processing

Messages you send to the agent are processed on our servers and may be stored in your conversation history. AI responses are generated via third-party AI providers (including Google Gemini and Groq). Your inputs may be sent to these providers solely for the purpose of generating responses. We do not share your identity with these providers beyond what is technically necessary.

5. Data Retention

Conversation history is retained until you delete it or close your account
Session tokens expire and are invalidated on logout
You may request deletion of all your data at any time

We use the following third-party services which have their own privacy policies:

Google OAuth 2.0 — authentication
GitHub OAuth — authentication
Google Gemini API — AI processing
Groq API — AI processing
MongoDB Atlas — data storage
Render — server hosting
Vercel — frontend hosting

Access the data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Withdraw consent at any time by discontinuing use of the platform

Attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or compromise platform security
Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
Use AI agents to cause harm, harass, or deceive individuals
Mine cryptocurrency or conduct resource-intensive tasks without authorisation

4. AI & Agent Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the commands you give to AI agents and the actions they perform on your behalf. We are not liable for any damage, data loss, or unintended consequences resulting from AI-executed tasks. Use agent automation with care and always verify critical operations.

5. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine you have violated these terms, abused the platform, or engaged in activity that harms other users or the platform itself.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, data integrity, or fitness for any particular purpose. Use the platform at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to data loss, service interruption, or actions performed by AI agents.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal proceedings.
